My whole life, I have been a big believer in the premise that a song can change everything…a mood, a setting, a memory, a life. Seriously, I should have been born in a musical as I always find songs to fit most occasions in life.  My iPhone is like a musical diary, where I create playlists nearly every month. I have playlists for sleep, relaxation, and yes I ever made a playlist back when my son was colickly designed specifically so I didn’t pull my hair out when he would scream bloody murder.

My workout is no exception and I find that I workout better and longer if I’m listening to music. I walk into the gym, put my Beats wireless headphones, turn the volume way up and escape to a whole new world. The base often times with my steps on the elliptical making me keep a pace, the songs encourage me to keep going. I can’t even imagine my workout without music.

I usually listen to music from my iPhone playlist.  I mix up my playlist with motivational songs (songs where I just love the message) and purely musical songs (the songs where I don’t care what they are singing about, I just love the beat).

Recently, I have discovered an App called FitRadio which for $2.99 a month you can listen to workout music from Top 40 songs to Pop. I have recently tried the Elliptical play list which I thought was fantastic and I haven’t been disappointed yet with the selections.I normally put on the Top 40 playlist and workout. The playlist is long, so you can definitely get your workout in easily.  Definitely worth a couple dollars a month especially if you need some new music for your Workout.

I also recently purchased NOW! That’s What I Call Music Workout 2017 Edition.  This is a great album to get you going on a workout with remixes of popular songs.

But overall, I go to my own Workout Playlist when I work out. I have been working on this playlist for awhile, and so far I’ve got it the way I want. Sure there are times that I want something new, but that’s what I use FitRadio for.

So without further adieu – here is the Recovering Carbie Kick-Ass Workout Playlist. I listen to this on shuffle, so order does not matter.
